When you go for this activity, you will be able to accomplish 3 things implicitly. You would see the Iconic Taj Mahal Hotel and see the famous Gateway of India. And then you would set off to sail in the Arabian Ocean. By the way, some of these boats here can also take you to the Elephanta Caves of Mumbai. 3. Visit the Siddhivinayak Temple
What better can it be than taking the blessings of Lord Ganesha in Mumbai. It is one of the most famous temples of Mumbai and India. People of all caste, creed, religion, status, age visit this place to see Lord Ganesha or Ganpati Bappa. Tuesdays hold a speacial significance for Lord Ganesha and hence draws more visitors to this temple. However, other day are also full of devotees. It is just the count is more on Tuesdays. Take a small offering of flower, cocunut or sweet and provide it to the temple priest to offer it to Lord Ganesha. This is what people do here when they visit the Siddhivinayak Temple.
In case you want to visit the aarti too, then you need to check the time when it happens and then plan your visit. Generally, the aarti happens through out the day at specific intervals. If you cannot visit the temple physically, then you can do a online darshan on the temple’s website.
4. Ride the Local Train
The Mumbai Local train is world famous. It is the life line of Mumbai. You must be knowing that mumbai is a crowded place and people work really hard here. If you want to actually see it, then board a local train in mumbai. We suggest you to take an ac or a first class ticket as those compartments are slightly less crowded. Also, there are separate compartments for Gents and Ladies. Though ladies are allowed to travel in gents compartments, it is suggested for them to avoid during the peak hours of 8am to 11am, and 4pm to 10pm. We suggest you to carefully select the time and route based on your appetite for rush and adventure.

The fact is you need to taste these indigenous dishes to get a feel of how mouth watering street food options are there in mumbai. If it is rainy season, we suggest you to try the Corn( Bhutta) and a cutting chai. Even without rains, you can try these food. Some other things that you can try are Misal Pav, Bhel Puri, Sev Puri, Ragda Patis, Onion Pakoda, Omlette etc in Mumbai. They taste like no other place. For those of the more adventurous types with no fear of heights, go flying above the city of mumbai. Capture some beautiful aerial picture of mumbai on the trip. The helicopter rides generally are private rides that operates from the Juhu Airport. It gives you a top view of the city with very less obstruction of sight in the transparent helicopters. However, you should be cognizant of the high expenses and should not expect of a long flight. The helicopter rides would not be more than 30 minutes in general. There would be atleast a dozen of die hard fans of these actors waiting outside the star’s houses just to get a glimpse of them . These actors too are very fond of their fans and do come once in a while on their gate or windows to wave to their lovely fans.
8. Do a Film City Tour
For those who are much more fond of the bollywood, then there are ways for you to see live filming and shooting of the hindi movies in mumbai. The Goregaon Film City is the place where majority of studios are located and hence most of the shootings happen in that area. It is a very big area with all kinds of setups in the compound. For example, temples, police station, court, lake, pond, hotel, garden, building and all other types of places are there in the film city. And then they even create artificial setup for a lot of things. There are organizations that operate film city tour. You can visit the place via them. Or you can visit the place on your own too. Now a days, a lot of people from various parts of India and world come just to see the live shows of some of their favourite programs like ‘The Comedy Nights with Kapil’ (currently off air).
9. Have a Picnic at National Park
Mumbai city is one of rare cities of the world to have a big national park right inside the city limits. The Sanjay Gandhi National park is one of the biggest national parks in Mumbai. Although you may not find the tigers easily now, other than that you can easily see deer, monkeys, birds etc. You also have a couple of good lakes and a cave inside the national park. Overall, it is a beautiful place to be in this crowded city with so much pollution around.
10. Have Fun in Essel World & Water Kingdom
If you want to challenge yourself to fearful rides, then look at no other place than the Essel World. Though it is located at a little distance from the city centre, the effort and travel is worth it. A lot of people enjoy the Essel World of Mumbai. It is the biggest amusement theme park in India. The number and types of rides available are more than you can count with your hands. Each have their own level of difficulty, so that you can enjoy the ones you are comfortable with.
Just next to the Essel World is the Water Kingdom, which is again one of the biggest water parks in India. You can visit this too. However, both of these activities need a good amount of time. Actually, a complete day is required for either the Essel World or Water Kingdom.
